Latina VII

*Latina VII is a large powerful 1993 flea-bitten grey mare bred in Spain by Manuel Delgado Berral. Standing 16.1hh, Latina passes her size as well as her impressive movement on to her foals. A heterozygous grey, she has  had bay foals. Latina also has a "Bocado Bump", thought by some to indicate purity of breed. Others believe it to be the remnant of the Unicorn's horn. In 2006 *Latina VII produced another wonderful filly, Castiza DA by Imperioso D, a 16.3hh stallion bred by Denham Farm. Imperioso is sired by the imported stallion Granadino XI, a son of Leviton. He is out of Quizas III bred by Miguel Angel Cardenas. In September 2007 The Qualified Tribunal from Spain selected Latina VII as one of only three mares in the United States to be Approved to the level of Qualified status. The level above Basic Breeding Approval, Qualified horses undergo Radiographs, Reproductive Exams, and are Judged on their Morphology as well as all three Gaits. Only the top horses, showing no Inheritable Defects and coming very close to the Breed Standard are awarded the title of Qualified Breeding Stock. Congratulations to Latina VII on being one of the first three mares to achieve this level outside of Spain!

Latina will be bred to Tuno PM for a 2012 foal. A filly will be retained, a colt is FOR SALE.
